Class Expectations
Students are expected to follow established procedures for class. The teacher spends time teaching each procedure. In order to achieve a comfortable and productive educational environment, students are expected to adhere to the following expectations that coincide with those of HES:
Students abiding by HES and classroom expectations will receive positive feedback, notes home, and grade level/school-wide rewards.
In the event that students are not able to abide by the above rules, the following consequences will ensue:
·Nonverbal warning
·Verbal warning
·Note home
·Phone call home
·Meeting with teacher, student, and parent
·Meeting with teacher, student, parent, and member of administration
Heritage Elementary is a Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS) school. PBIS establishes clear behavioral goals for each student throughout the entire school. The program uses a common proactive approach to discipline and is outcome based.
- Respect others and their property
- Be accountable
- Demonstrate safe and responsible actions
